About the Brave Enough to Risk Change, to Live Free Curriculum

“Hope and healing are possible—even in the hardest seasons of life.”

Safe, judgement free zones, are created to share your experiences and emotions. You'll discover you aren’t alone, and you don’t have to go it alone.

Brave Enough faith based groups break chains of behavior as individuals find the core lie and replace it with the truth:

  • Addiction
  • Over-eating
  • Overspending
  • Perfectionism
  • Over-commitment to work
  • Thrill-seeking
  • Self-deprivation

Why Choose the study Brave Enough to Risk Change, to Live Free?

With countless free and paid self-help tools out there, why choose Brave Enough to Risk Change, to Live Free?

Because healing and freedom happen exponentially in our Brave Enough to Change Groups.

How does it happen?

Over the course of this 20-week program, you will begin by "Discovering the Lies" that stem from unresolved pain. Then, you'll move on to "Identifying Default Behaviors" you've developed to cope with that pain. You'll then learn how to live as an "Overcomer," empowered by the Spirit to adopt new thought patterns, emotions, and actions. Ultimately, you will "Experience Freedom" as healing occurs and you release the pain, falsehoods, and harmful behaviors that have been hindering your progress.

What's the Commitment?

Sessions are held once a week via Zoom for 20 weeks. Each group session lasts for 90 minutes and the group size is no larger than 8 individuals, same gender.

What does it Cost?

We have some Zoom groups lead by trained leaders and the cost is $55.00 for the Deluxe Bundle which includes the workbook/weekly teaching videos, journal, and blank Scripture flip book.

Or join Mary Armstrong, author of Brave Enough to Risk Change, to Live Free, in a group environment for $215 per month, $47.77 per week. This price includes the workbook, weekly teaching videos, a journal, and a blank Scripture flip book. Mary also provides each participant with two free individual counseling/coaching sessions. The 20-week experience culminates in a mini one-day retreat to complete your family genogram and create a Dream Board. While monthly online group subscriptions are non-refundable, you can cancel your subscription whenever you wish.

Why does Mary Armstrong charge a monthly fee when others do not?

Brave Enough to Change groups with Mary now offer specialized opportunities for individuals in counseling or coaching. As a board-certified Christian counselor, trauma-informed coach, and life coach, she also facilitates the group as group counseling sessions.

With over 35 years of counseling experience, Mary holds an MA in pastoral counseling from Regent University. She serves on the pastoral staff at Calvary Community Church in Sumner, Washington, where she provides biblical counseling in group settings. Within Brave Enough to Change, Mary also offers personalized one-on-one counseling and coaching to support individuals in addressing specific areas for personal growth.

Feel Connected & Safe

To ensure that every group member is engaged and feels connected, we’ve created a list of criteria and tools to help each person succeed in their goals for improved spiritual health. Our groups consist of no more than eight to ten people, sessions are held via Zoom, groups consist of members who are all the same gender, and group members will sign a covenant that adheres to strict confidentiality guidelines. With these parameters in place, we are able to provide a safe, comfortable space for each member to share their experiences, connect with their other group members, and experience healing and transformation.
